Here’s a question for you: Is your life really your own? Or does your life belong to those around you? It seems to me that no person should be allowed to kill themselves. Life is something we can’t replace when it’s gone, and to me, it seems like your life isn't just yours. You have family that depends on you and loves you. You have coworkers that need you. You have friends that love you. When you’re dead, you don’t get back up and say, “Darn, I lost a life. But hey! I’ve still got 3 more!” This isn’t Nintendo. You aren’t Mario or Yoshi.
How do you get so lonely, and so sad, that you would rather end what life you have? What has to go through your mind, what twisted thoughts have to go through your brain to make you think that killing yourself is a better alternative than life? Especially for those without religion, who don't believe in an afterlife or reincarnation, life is the end of the end for them. Why would they kill themselves if they think they have nothing left after life? I guess I just can’t wrap my head around it.

Answer if you can,

I couldn't take my own life. Not only do I not want to die, I couldn't leave my friends and family like that. It would crush them. I think I'll just wait around until God dishes something out for me...while I'm waiting I'll just enjoy what comes my way in this crazy rollercoaster we call life.

While I would not take my own life, I'm loathe to impress my own feelings on the matter onto others. Others may not understand our choices, but they are OUR choices to make.

If your argument was compelling, the same argument could be used to guide the food we eat and all major lifestyle decisions. Junk Food? Sorry, it might shorten your lifestyle. New job? Sorry, your wife likes the old one better.

Ultimately, the principle of liberty DEMANDS that we be allowed to make choices that guide our lives. Included in this choice, I feel, is the right to death.
